American Dara Academy was founded in Dakar, Senegal with a vision to become a top Islamic boarding school. We provide American academics, Quran memorization, and Islamic Education to Muslim boys and girls from Pre-K to High School. Our programs are designed to shape strong Muslim scholars and intellectuals. We prepare our students for college, career, and life success all while empowering them with strong principles, Islamic values, and God-consciousness that they acquire in the classroom and throughout the years that they spend living together.

Co-curricular Program
We offer a wide range of co-curricular activities to fulfill our school’s mission to provide a holistic Islamic education: We strive to nurture the body, mind, and soul of our children.
Sports. Our students take part in weekly martial arts classes with qualified instructors. In these lessons, students develop strength and learn about discipline, integrity, and self-confidence. Our students also play soccer on Thursdays.
Trips. Every once in a while, we organize trips to various types of locations to help our kids reconnect with nature, enhance concepts learned in the classroom, expand their horizons and their understanding of the world, or just have some fun time. So far we’ve been to the Dakar International Fair, to Lake Retba (Lac Rose), to the Parc de Hann zoo, Magicland, etc…
